30 MINUTES · FREE · BY VIDEO CALL · GERMAN AND ENGLISH
Let's talk, free and with no obligation
We look together at where you are right now and what next step could make sense for you. By video call, with someone who knows paruresis firsthand.
DISCREET AND SAFE
You share as much as you want. For many people with paruresis, the intro call is the first time they talk to anyone about it at all. I know paruresis myself and have already had many conversations with people who've lived it. For me, this is a normal, confidential conversation about a topic I know very well.
You don't have to prepare anything, and there's no question you have to answer. We look at which format fits your situation and which doesn't right now. Then you decide at your own pace. I treat your information confidentially.
CONTACT FORM
If a conversation feels like too much right now: write to me via the contact form instead, or first read up on what paruresis is.
IMPORTANT NOTE
It is not psychotherapy, not medical treatment and not life and social counseling. No diagnoses are made and no individual treatment recommendations are given.
Some answers to common worries
“If I book, Bernd will know right away that I have paruresis.”
For me, paruresis is not an unusual or embarrassing topic. I have it myself and have already talked about it with many people who've lived it. You don't have to explain or justify yourself to me.
“I've never told anyone about it.”
Then this call can be your first. You don't have to tell your whole story or say anything that makes you uncomfortable. You decide how much you want to share.
“What if the call is embarrassing or I'm very nervous?”
That's completely okay. You don't have to come across as confident or find the right words. Paruresis is a familiar topic to me, and I know many of the thoughts, avoidance patterns and situations from my own experience.
“What should I even say?”
You don't have to prepare anything. I'll help you move on from wherever you are right now.
“Do I have to say how much paruresis limits me?”
No. You decide which situations or experiences you want to bring up. For the first call, a little information is often enough to answer your questions and give you some orientation.
“Do I have to turn on my camera?”
No. My camera is on; you decide whether to turn yours on. We can talk quite normally without a camera too.
“Is the call confidential?”
Yes. What you tell me in the call stays confidential. Scheduling and emails are also deliberately kept neutral, so as little as possible can be inferred about the topic.
“Will I be assessed or rated in the call?”
No. There is no test and no rating of your paruresis. The call is there to answer your questions and give you orientation.
“Can I just ask questions without saying much about myself?”
Yes. You can also use the call to learn more about us, the 1:1 training or our other offerings. You decide how personal the call gets.
“Do I have to book afterwards?”
No. The intro call is free and non-binding. Afterwards, you can take your time deciding whether one of our offerings interests you or whether you'd rather keep going on your own for now. The goal of the call is orientation, not a sale. I'll explain your options, answer your questions and tell you openly if another offering or starting on your own is a better fit for what you're looking for right now.
