​This page sets out what applies when you book or buy something from us. We tried to write it so you can understand it without a law degree. If anything is still unclear, just write to us. This English version is provided for convenience only. If there is any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

The general part applies to everything. Parts 1 to 5 apply in addition for the respective offering. If anything conflicts, the more specific part applies.

Paruresis Training Academy is the name we operate under. Your contracting party is always Mentrevo e.U.

 

Who and what these terms apply to

• These terms apply to all contracts you conclude via paruresistraining.com.

• Our offerings are intended for consumers aged 18 and over.

• The version that was on this page when the contract was concluded always applies.

 

How a contract is formed

• By submitting your booking or order, you make a binding offer.

• The contract is formed when you receive our confirmation by email.

• Details for each offering are set out in Parts 1 to 5.

 

Prices, payment and invoice

• All prices are total prices. No VAT is shown, small business exemption under § 6 (1) no. 27 UStG (Austrian VAT Act).

• There are no shipping costs for digital products; delivery is digital.

• Payment is made using the payment methods offered at checkout. Payment data is processed by the respective payment service provider, not by us.

• You automatically receive an invoice by email.

 

If something isn't right

• The statutory warranty rights apply. For digital products, this is two years from provision.

• If a file doesn't work, is incomplete or doesn't match what we described, let us know. We will fix it.

• Just write to info@paruresistraining.com

 

What our offerings are not

• All offerings are training and educational offerings.

• They are not psychotherapy, not medical treatment and not life and social counseling.

• No diagnoses are made and no promises of a cure are given.

• If you are under heavy strain, please contact a professional.

 

Copyright and what you may do with our materials

• All content we provide to you is protected by copyright. This applies to workbooks, worksheets, course content, videos and workshop materials.

• You may use it for yourself personally, as often as you like, on all your devices, and print it for your own use.

• You may not share, upload, sell, make publicly available or edit it, either in whole or in part.

• If you want to use our materials in a self-help group, a practice or your own offering, write to us. We will find a solution.

 

Liability

• For personal injury and for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, the statutory liability provisions apply without restriction.

• For other damage, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law and provided no material contractual obligation has been breached.

• Your personal responsibility does not affect our statutory liability for our own culpable conduct.

 

Changes to these terms

• We may change these terms for the future, for example when we add new offerings.

• For a contract you have already concluded, the version that was online at that time always applies.

 

Law, complaints and disputes

• Austrian law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable based on your place of residence remain unaffected.

• If something bothers you, write to info@paruresistraining.com first. We will get back to you.

• If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Internet Ombudsstelle, the consumer dispute resolution body for online transactions in Austria. We are not obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings, but we consider taking part on a case-by-case basis.

 

Part 1 · Workshops

 

Scope

• These terms apply to all workshops of the Paruresis Training Academy.

• The date, price and content description of each workshop are on the workshop page. The details stated there apply.

 

Organizer

• Workshop leaders: Bernd Fuchs and, where applicable, other workshop leaders announced on the workshop page

 

Venue

• Phobius, Amerlingstraße 19, 1060 Vienna, Austria

• You will receive the door number and detailed travel information by email after booking, before the workshop.

 

Times

• Friday: doors open 6:45 pm, start 7:00 pm, end around 10:00 pm

• Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

• Sunday: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

 

What is included

• Participation in the entire workshop

• The scheduled workshop and training materials

• Coffee, tea, water and salty snacks

• Other supporting services listed on the workshop page, such as a preliminary call or group calls after the workshop. The form, date and scope of these supporting services may change, provided this is reasonable for you.

 

What is not included

• Meals. You arrange your own meals.

• Travel, accommodation and other personal expenses

• Recommendations on hotels, travel or other external services are non-binding

 

Registration and contract

• By completing the booking, you register for the workshop with binding effect.

• The contract is formed with the booking confirmation by email.

• Your place is only secured once full payment has been received.

 

No statutory right of withdrawal

• Under § 18 (1) no. 10 FAGG (Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act), there is no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for workshops, as they are a service related to leisure activities for which a specific period of performance has been agreed.

• Regardless of this, the following voluntary cancellation terms apply.

 

Cancellation by you

• You can cancel free of charge up to 21 days before the workshop starts. The fee already paid will be refunded in full.

• If you cancel 20 to 8 days before the workshop starts, 50 percent of the fee will be refunded.

• From 7 days before the workshop starts, and in case of no-show, a refund is no longer possible.

• The deadline is based on when we receive your cancellation by email to info@paruresistraining.com or via paruresistraining.com/widerruf. An informal message is sufficient.

 

If you can't make it at short notice

• If you fall ill at short notice or cannot attend for another unforeseeable reason, please let us know by email.

• In this case, we will try to transfer your fee once to a future workshop. Such a transfer is valid for 12 months from the original workshop date and is subject to availability.

• This is a voluntary goodwill gesture. There is no legal entitlement to it.

• Your place cannot be transferred to another person.

 

Minimum number of participants

• The workshop takes place once the minimum number of participants is reached.

• If it is not reached by 21 days before the workshop starts, the workshop will be canceled and the fee already paid refunded in full.

• You will find out no later than 21 days before the workshop starts whether it will take place.

 

Cancellation or postponement by the organizer

• If the workshop cannot be held as planned for an important organizational reason, in particular if a workshop leader or the venue becomes unavailable, if there are too few registrations or in case of a comparable unforeseeable event, a suitable substitute leader may be appointed or a prompt alternative date may be offered.

• If the date is postponed, you can attend on the alternative date or have the fee you paid refunded.

• If the workshop is canceled without an alternative date, the fee paid will be refunded in full.

• Costs for travel, accommodation or other separately booked services are not covered, to the extent permitted by law. We therefore recommend booking travel and accommodation with free cancellation where possible.

 

Exclusion from participation

• Respectful and confidential interaction is a prerequisite for participation.

• Exclusion from the rest of the workshop is possible in case of: disclosing personal or identifying information about other participants to outsiders; taking photos, videos or audio recordings during the workshop; threats, harassment, discrimination or physical violence toward participants or workshop leaders; participation while significantly under the influence of alcohol or drugs; repeated disruptive behavior that significantly impairs the workshop.

• In case of repeated disruptive behavior, exclusion only takes place after you have first been asked to stop this behavior.

• In case of behavior that directly endangers other participants, exclusion may take place without prior warning.

• In these cases, there is no entitlement to a refund of the fee. Further statutory claims remain unaffected.

 

Organizational changes

• Minor and objectively necessary changes to the schedule, times, rooms or workshop leaders are possible, provided they are reasonable and do not significantly change the content and scope of the workshop.

 

What the workshop is

• The Paruresis Training Academy workshop is a structured training offering for people with paruresis.

• It teaches knowledge and practical training methods to gradually change paruresis-related avoidance and behavior patterns.

 

Health requirements

• You are responsible for making sure, before and during the workshop, that you are physically and mentally able to take part in the respective exercises.

• If a physical cause of difficulty urinating has not yet been ruled out, or if health reasons could speak against certain exercises or increased fluid intake, you should have this checked by a doctor before taking part.

• The workshop is not the right offering during an acute mental health crisis.

 

Your decision in every exercise

• Participation in individual exercises is voluntary.

• You decide which exercises you do, how far you go and when you take a break or stop an exercise.

• No one is pressured to do a particular exercise or to urinate successfully.

• If you feel physically or mentally unwell during an exercise, stop the exercise and inform the workshop leaders so they can respond appropriately.

 

Where training takes place

• Practical training does not only take place in the workshop rooms. Depending on your personal training plan, it also includes restroom situations in publicly accessible places and, if you plan it that way, in your own accommodation.

• You decide which situations you train and where. You are responsible for training steps outside the workshop rooms. Follow the respective house rules and applicable law.

• Training in pairs is based on voluntariness and mutual respect. If you feel uncomfortable with a training step or with your training partner's behavior, stop and inform the workshop leaders.

 

No promise of success

• The workshop teaches methods and creates opportunities for practical training.

• How paruresis develops for individual participants is individual and depends on many factors.

• We therefore do not promise any particular training success, any particular improvement or that paruresis will be fully overcome.

 

Personal belongings

• We do not take custody of personal belongings. Please look after your valuables yourself during the workshop.

• Statutory liability remains unaffected.

 

Confidentiality

• By registering, you agree to treat personal or identifying information that other participants share about themselves as confidential and not to disclose it to outsiders. This obligation continues after the workshop ends.

• Participants may not take photos, videos or audio recordings during the workshop.

Part 2 · Downloadable workbooks and guides

 

What you get

• A PDF file to download. You receive the link by email right after purchase.

• The download link is valid for 30 days. Save the file within this time. If your link has expired, write to us and you'll get a new one.

• Exactly what is included is stated on the respective product page.

 

Contract and provision

• The contract is formed with the order confirmation by email.

• Provision begins immediately after purchase, i.e. when the download link is sent.

 

Right of withdrawal

• As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.

• For digital content, this right expires as soon as provision begins. This requires three things, and all three happen at purchase: you expressly request at checkout that provision begin immediately, you confirm that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and you receive a confirmation of the contract from us by email. The legal basis is § 18 (1) no. 11 FAGG.

• Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

What you may do with the file

• Use it for yourself personally, as often as you like, on all your devices.

• Print it for your own use.

• Share it within your household.

 

What is not allowed

• Sharing, sending, uploading or making it publicly available, not even in excerpts.

• Reselling. There is no resale of used files for digital content; the Court of Justice of the EU expressly ruled this in 2019.

• Editing, adapting or passing it off as your own material.

• Using it in courses, groups or your own offerings. If you want to, write to us and we will find a solution.

 

If the file doesn't work

• Just contact info@paruresistraining.com and we'll send you a working file.

• The statutory warranty rights apply, for digital content two years from provision.

 

Part 3 · Online course

 

What you get

• Access to the online course with all its content. What is included is stated on the course page.

• Access is personal and applies to you. You may not share your login details.

• Access is valid for 12 months from purchase.

 

Contract and provision

• The contract is formed with the confirmation by email.

• Access is activated immediately after purchase.

Right of withdrawal

• As with the workbooks: for digital content, your 14-day right of withdrawal expires when provision begins, if you expressly agree to this at purchase, confirm the loss of your right of withdrawal and receive a contract confirmation from us.

• Your warranty rights remain.

Availability

• We strive for continuous availability. Brief interruptions for maintenance or for technical reasons are possible.

• We may update and further develop content. The agreed scope and purpose of the course will be maintained.

 

What you may do with the course content

• The same rules as for the workbooks: personal use yes, sharing and publishing no.

• Recording videos or live elements is not allowed.

 

Part 4 · 1:1 training

 

What 1:1 training is

• A structured online training program in a one-on-one setting. You learn the training method, practice it together with a trainer and apply it on your own responsibility in your daily life between sessions.

• The program takes place entirely online. There are no in-person sessions.

• It is held in German or English. We agree on the language in advance. There is no entitlement to translation or to both languages in parallel.

 

What is included

• Around two hours of 1:1 training time per month, either four 30-minute sessions or two 60-minute sessions.

• In the first month, an additional 60-minute kick-off session at no extra charge.

• A recap after the sessions.

• Suitable training materials and resources.

• Short questions via WhatsApp on business days.

 

How to start

1. You receive a link to a form. There we collect the information we need to work together, and you give the necessary consents.

2. You receive the participation agreement and the invoice for the first month.

3. Once payment is received, we schedule the kick-off session and get started.

 

Price, billing and term

• 249 euros per month.

• There is no minimum term and no commitment. The contract renews monthly until you or we end it.

• The first month is invoiced before the start, each further month at the beginning of that month.

• The monthly period begins with the kick-off session.

• The invoice is sent by email. No VAT is shown.

 

Ending

• You can end at any time with an informal email to info@paruresistraining.com.

• Cancellation takes effect from the following month. A month already started and paid for is not refunded pro rata.

• To wrap up, there is a final session in which we discuss the next steps.

 

Sessions

• Agreed sessions are binding.

• You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours in advance.

• If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or don't show up, the session counts as used.

• In case of illness or another valid reason, we will try to find a goodwill solution where possible. There is no entitlement to this.

• If we have to cancel a session, you will get an alternative date. Sessions that don't take place for a reason on our side will be made up, even beyond the month.

 

Right of withdrawal

• You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from conclusion of the contract.

• The kick-off usually falls within these 14 days. For us to start earlier, we need your express consent beforehand. We obtain it in the form.

• If you then withdraw within the deadline, you pay pro rata for what has taken place up to that point.

• Once the first month's service has been fully performed with your consent, the right of withdrawal expires (§ 18 (1) no. 1 FAGG).

Technical requirements

• You need a stable internet connection, a suitable device, camera and microphone, and access to the platforms used for video calls, email and WhatsApp.

• You are responsible for this. Technical problems on your side are not our responsibility. But if a connection doesn't work, we will find an alternative date together.

WhatsApp

• WhatsApp is intended for short organizational or general questions on business days.

• No health data, personal problem descriptions or confidential content are exchanged via WhatsApp. For that, we use email or the scheduled session.

• WhatsApp is not a crisis or emergency channel. No particular response time is promised.

​

Not a crisis or emergency service

• The 1:1 training does not provide acute help in mental health crises, emergencies or acute stress situations.

• In case of acute mental health crises, serious mental illness or medical problems, please contact the appropriate professional services.

​

Confidentiality and recordings

• We treat what you share in training confidentially. We deliberately keep session scheduling and emails neutral.

• Recording sessions in video, audio or writing is not allowed unless we expressly agree on it in advance. This applies to both sides.

​

If working together isn't a good fit

• We may end our work together if there is an acute mental health crisis or a serious illness requiring treatment, if sessions are repeatedly missed without notice, or if disrespectful or boundary-violating behavior occurs.

• Except in the case of boundary-violating behavior, we will talk to you about it first.

• Our work together then ends when the paid month expires. No further months are billed.

Part 5 · Free intro call

• The intro call is free and non-binding. It lasts no more than 30 minutes.

• It takes place by video or phone, with or without camera. You decide.

• It is for getting to know each other and finding out whether one of our offerings is right for you.

• It is not counseling, treatment or training. It does not create a paid contract.

• You can cancel or reschedule the call at any time. There are no costs. But we appreciate a short message if you can't make it.

• The call is not recorded.

• We only use your details to organize the call and to stay in touch with you. Details at paruresistraining.com/datenschutz
